This is my first comment on your blog and before I start I have to admit your blog is wondeful. Specially for residecny applicants like me it includes all details about the programs we need to know.
I was also amazed when I came to know about Sam's Club EMR system powered by eClinicalWorks softare and dell Hardware. I'm sure it will be cheaper than many of the rivals. But At this point no body is sure what will be the final criteria for the future nationwide EMR system Government gonna decide. If someone want to switch over EMR or start new EMR he/she needs to make sure that the EMR software complies all those regulations and easy iteroperability with national EMR system. Right now it seems Allscripts is number one in this race.(But very costly!!!) The point is to be on safer side at this moment one should wait for 6-8 months before switching over any EMR software and wait for the final criterias.
I do have good knowledge of elctronic health record and this year I have switched 2 clinics where i was doing my externship on Electronic health recors myself. It is very customized setup and ready to switch over any future EMR software. It is simple Document management system only and main goal was to go paperless at this point without spending huge amount( for single pysician office we spent only $6000 incuding all new state of the art hardwares.) Now they gonna wait for year or two to decide final EMR system which provides interoperability with Centralized EMR system.
